The report to the study has been finalised and submitted to the Commission.
Currently, it is subject to Commission interservice consultation within the scope of the general review of the RoHS Directive. In the current state of the RoHS review process, the Commission has not yet approved the publication of the final report.

High Priority Hazardous Substances

As a preliminary result of the study, a list of high priority hazardous substances in EEE has been set up (MS Word .doc). All stakeholders are invited to comment on the selected high priority substances and to provide additional information (Adobe .pdf)

In oder to set-up an inventory of hazardous substances used in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) not regulated by RoHS, a questionnaire was sent out to manufacturers and suppliers of EEE. They were asked to specify other hazardous substances contained in typical components / subgroups of EEE, and to quantify the concentration ranges.

The questionnaire consisted of the following documents:

  • Component structure of electrical and electronic equipment (MS Word .doc)

Manufacturers and suppliers were invited to send their input to the set-up of the inventory by 08 Feb 2008.
